A close-knit lakeside community, one of the best parts about living in Mimico is simply the local atmosphere. Throughout the neighbourhood, you’ll find a wide range of charming independent businesses like cafes, restaurants, bakeries, boutiques, and other amenities all within a short walking distance.
Mimico is also perfect for buyers who love the great outdoors. Since it’s right on the lake, Mimico is absolutely surrounded by beautiful parks and outdoor spaces. In Humber Bay Park and Mimico Waterfront Park, you’ll find several kilometres of trails for biking, walking, or jogging right along the shore! If you’re not already into outdoor recreation, living in Mimico could change your mind.
Urban Accessibility
Thanks to its location and proximity to the Gardiner Expressway, Mimico is a commuter’s paradise. Whether you’re heading downtown or travelling around the west end, you’re never far from the action. Plus, Mimico is one of the best transit-served communities in all of Toronto. If you don’t own a vehicle, living in Mimco won’t mean sacrificing your quality of life.
The neighbourhood has its own GO Station, which can get you to Union Station in just 15 minutes. Along the lakeshore, TTC streetcar service provides regular connections to both central Toronto and Etobicoke. The Bloor-Danforth subway line is also a short bus ride away.
